What EHR + Billing software do you integrate with?

We specialize in integrated workflows through Jane App. We’ve been working with Jane for years, both as billers and admins, so we have a robust understanding of how to get the most out of the ever-improving software. You can find us listed on Jane’s certified biller list. We start by learning our providers’ current process so we can build them a custom workflow to integrate our services with the flow of their office. Having worked with Jane for so long, we are here to help our providers utilize Jane in the best way for them.

What type of claims do you handle?

We submits claims to private payers, Medicare/Medicaid (including secondaries and supplements), VA and Workers Comp/Private Injury. We will work with you to ensure your office is collecting the necessary information to best process these claims so that submission is as effective as possible the first time. We will handle denial resolution/ first level appeal should a claim require it.

What is the pricing structure? 

Our pricing structure best supports the needs of our providers by affording us the time to investigate granular issues before they become chronic strains on your practice. Our standard offering handles the complete claim cycle by bundling verification of benefits, claim submission, denial resolution, payer payment reconciliation and EHR integration all within one per claim price. All of this is done completely within your EHR, with no double-work for your practice, regular check-in calls to review active claims, and the comfort of knowing you have a competent and enthusiastic team working behind the scenes to resolve potential issues before they become pitfalls. Because every practice has different needs, specific pricing will depend on the needs of your practice. How are your services customizable?

One of our biggest motivations is to provide effective billing solutions that will work for a practice of any size, whether or not they have admin staff. We’ve worked with providers who see just a handful of patients a week and practices with multiple locations/providers, so we know not every practice has the same needs. We work closely with our clients to understand what the flow of the office is, where there were insurance challenges in the past and what goals they have so we can ensure our strategies are supporting your bigger picture. We offer many tools beyond our standard package that work as a bridge to fill in any gaps your practice may have, so that you get the most value out of our services.

What type of providers do you work with?

We specializes in billing solutions for alternative care providers. We work mostly with acupuncturists, chiropractors, physical therapists and occupational therapists. We may work with other types of providers on a case by case basis. Having personally experienced the incredible care they provide, we prioritize working small to mid-size practices so that they can get the support larger billing companies often don’t afford them.

I have never billed insurance before, Can you help me get started?

Yes! We are happy to work with providers who are new to insurance. We aim to take the mystery out of the process by empowering providers to make informed decisions about insurance. If you are brand new to insurance, we suggest doing some research about what payers are in your area, what the credentialing process is like and determine your goals so that we can work together to get things started in the most efficient way possible. While we have much coding experience, we are not operating as medical coders. While we are happy to consult on proper guidelines and direct you to local payer requirements, it is required for our clients to have a basic understanding of coding for their specific discipline.

How can you help with a backlog of outstanding claims that are unresolved?

Yes! If you have already been billing insurance and you have a backlog of claims that need resolution, we are happy to help. We have much success getting our clients paid for unresolved claim issues that burdened their practice before working with us. After a thorough on-boarding where we take a deep-dive into your current accounts receivable, we will work to diagnose the issue, resolve it with payers and establish workflows to ensure the issue is avoided in the future. We are always happy to work with whoever was doing your billing before us to ensure any transition from one team to another is as smooth as possible.

How are you HIPAA compliant? 

We take compliance very seriously and look to work with providers who do too. One of the main reasons, beyond ease of use, that our services are integrated within your EHR is to ensure all your patient data remains secure without your office needing to do external data entry. Uploads of EOBs/payer communication that come to your office on paper is done through an upload to a secure folder, monitored by our team to ensure compliance.

Crest Health Billing was born from two colleagues seeing a need we knew we could serve while striving to build work-life balance in our own lives. While our team is small, as the community of providers we serve continues to expand, we are growing our team with motivated, like-minded people to deliver the best service to our practices, no matter their size.
